What is the difference between Statuses and Milestones?
Milestone - Used to determine the current step in the sales process. Common examples include Contacted, Quoted, and Sold. You will not use a Milestone until you have reached one.
Status - Used to determine the contact status or interest level of the contact. Common examples include New, Attempted Contact, Hot, Requote, and Not Interested.
Both are necessary to truly understand the lead's current situation. For example, you may have quoted 50 people, so would use the "Quoted" Milestone for all 50. However, some are interested, some are not interested, and some requested a requote in the future. This is where the Status comes in to describe their interest level.

Why am I getting an error when trying to delete a Status or Milestone?
This occurs because that Status or Milestone is tied to a Quick Action and/or a Workflow.
Before you delete the Status or Milestone, is it applied to many contacts? If so, we recommend renaming it to an equivalent Status or Milestone instead of deleting it (if your plan was to delete it then create a new one). If you do need to delete it, all contacts with that Status or Milestone will still have it, but it will say (deleted) after the Status or Milestone.
- Check your Quick Actions in Administration > Quick Actions. If you see the Status or Milestone you are trying to delete in the Status or Milestone columns, either click the edit pencil next to that Quick Action to use a different Status or Milestone, or click the garbage can to delete the Quick Action. You should now be able to delete the Status or Milestone.
- If it is not applied to any Quick Actions, check your Workflows in Administration > Workflows. If the Status or Milestone is in any of the Workflows' filters, submit a ticket by clicking below, and please specify the title of the Workflow and which Status or Milestone should be removed from it. Once we remove the Status or Milestone from the Workflow filters, you will be able to delete it.
Can I apply a Status or Milestone to leads in bulk?
Yes, this is the Group history feature. With this feature, you are able to add a history note to every contact in a Folder at once.
- Go to Administration > Group History
- Select a Folder.
- Type your note in the large text box. Changing Milestone and status is optional.
