Since Blitz is a web-based system, the only requirements are a web browser and internet access. However, for maximum performance, we recommend the following:
- Use the newest version of your web browser. We recommend Google Chrome.
- Make sure cookies are enabled on your browser.
- Do not use your browser's compatibility mode (this basically reverts it back to an older version).
Clearing your Cache
In order to access the exciting new User Interface (UI) update released to Blitz on 12/12, it is important that your browser is ready to support the update. If you had accessed Blitz prior to the update, it is possible that your browser is holding onto temporary "junk" files from the internet, and essentially trying to access an older version of Blitz which no longer exists. You will know this is the case if you are having technical issues such as not being able to view a lead or click on certain buttons within the system. There is an easy fix to clear your cache, follow the steps below according to your Internet Browser.
Internet Explorer 9 and higher
- Open your browser
- Find the Tools icon - indicated by a gear in the top right-hand corner of your monitor.
- Select Safety, and then Delete Browsing history.
- A window will open with checkboxes, the only option that needs to be selected is labeled Temporary Internet files and website files.
- Select Delete.
- After that has processed, exit out of your browser entirely and reopen Internet Explorer, you should be able to view Blitz as intended.
Google Chrome
- Open your browser.
- Press Ctrl+H on your keyboard. This will open the history tab.
- Select Clear browsing data...
- Set the drop-down menu to "the beginning of time."
- A window will open with checkboxes, the only option that needs to be selected is labeled Cached images and files.
- Select Clear browsing data.
- After that has processed, exit out of your browser entirely and reopen Google Chrome, you should be able to view Blitz as intended.
Mozilla Firefox
- Open your browser.
- Enter the History menu and select Clear Recent History. The menu bar can be made visible by pressing the Alt key on your keyboard.
- Select Everything on the Time range to clear menu in order to clear your entire cache.
- The down arrow next to Details will allow you to select what to clear out of your cache. It is suggested to only select Cache in order to clear up what is necessary for Blitz.
- Select Clear Now to clear your cache.
- After that has processed, exit out of your browser entirely and reopen Google Chrome, you should be able to view Blitz as intended.
